The Search for Knowledge
In 1980 my mother, Betty Jane Gibson, and her partner started out on a journey to seek knowledge and truth about life's experiences during a rocky period in both their lives when they stumbled onto Numerology by accident. Wanting to know if life's experiences happened at random or why they attracted such experiences, lead them to continue their research in Numerology for the next year and a half.

During that time, my mother and her partner became very knowledgeable with the teachings and interpretations of the "Western" system of Numerology. After gaining significant experience in interpreting the numbers, my mother discovered not all of the readings were accurate based on individual feedback. In combination with these findings, and a difference of opinion, my mother and her partner went their separate ways. A short time later, my mother discovered the Chaldean system of numbers, which turned out to be far more accurate than the Western version of Numerology.

In 1984, my mother rewrote, copyrighted, and packaged her computer program under the name of " Numerology for the New Era," which well may have been the first Numerology computer program of its kind. Her intention was to build a successful business but shortly thereafter, she decided to dissolve her company, "Numbers R-U," and devote her life to helping people on a more personal level and without compensation.

Twenty-four years later at the age of 81 my mother is still going stronger than ever and continues her work, doing consultations and chart readings. The demand for these readings has increased to a point in time that we needed to make a decision to either update the computer program written in 1983, or to let it become obsolete and remain a personal quest of one woman during her lifetime. The decision was an easy one for me, as I too developed a passion years ago for helping people on a personal level and feel compelled to continue my mother's work. In addition to doing one-on-one consultations, we have extended our business to sell charts and readings over our Web site, officially doing business as Numbers R U .

Recognition of Two Authors' Work in the Field of Numerology

First, a special recognition and thanks to W. Mykian, author of the book entitled, "Numerology Made Easy," for giving my mother special permission years ago to refer to and recommend his book which was the basis for writing and completing her computer program. Mykian's devotion in seeking the truth and his years of research and teachings are to be admired. He has given mankind a "priceless" gift to those who are aware of his work and are seeking a better understanding of what the vibrational blueprint we are born with really means. Mykian and I have teamed up to write "Numbers-The Powerful Bridge Beyond: Chaldean Numerology for the New Millennium" to be used as a reference guide for those who seek in-depth knowledge on learning more about Chaldean Numerology and how this information can alter your destiny in a positive way.

Next, I would like to recognize my mother for her contribution and work in pursuing a dream of helping people through the use of Numerology by providing guidance, advice, and clarity to those seeking the path in understanding their life's destiny. My mother has unselfishly devoted her entire life to supporting family, friends and strangers that has led her to almost completing the journey for seeking knowledge that she first embarked on so many years ago. Although this recognition comes much later in life, the importance now is to validate during her lifetime that we will preserve and carry on her work. With all of the obstacles my mother has had to overcome in her lifetime, Numerology has helped pave the rough road to understanding and acceptance.

We believe that our computer program, "Numerology for the New Era," is one of a kind and unique in the accuracy of the readings derived through the Chaldean number system-feedback received for well over twenty years supports our findings.
